Managing Director
Jason is the managing partner at Hones Lawyers and Just Conveyancing. With specialised expertise in planning, environmental, and local government law, he regularly appears in the Land & Environment Court and Court of Appeal on matters including development appeals, compensation, land contamination, and criminal prosecutions. His clients include local councils and private developers.
A skilled negotiator and advocate, Jason’s deep knowledge of planning and environmental law helps him achieve exceptional results for his clients.
Outside of work, Jason is passionate about snow skiing, seeking out challenging “double black” runs around the world.
Jane Mercer
Conveyancing Assistant
Jane first joined Hones Lawyers in 1991 and dedicated 21 years of her career to the firm. After deciding to retire and move overseas, she quickly realised that retirement wasn’t her calling. We’re delighted to welcome Jane back to the team, where she now focuses primarily on Company Title and Conveyancing.
Despite her busy schedule, Jane continues to travel extensively (whenever possible), and is also an avid blogger and published author.
